  13. DESCRIPTION
  14.  
  15. A Windows 32-bit utility to automatically shutdown your system.  An icon may reside in the 
  16. system tray for ease of use.  You may set up this utility to shutdown after a period of 
  17. inactivity or at a specified time each day.

  19. - Shutdown, restart, reboot, logoff or suspend operations
  20. - Programmable by day/time to perform shutdowns
  21. - Can be set up for a machine or independently for each user of a PC
  22. - Inactivity monitor to secure a system after a preset timeout
  23. - Detects remote-access connections and can wait until completed
  24. - Detects print manager jobs for completion
  25. - Automatically responds to system and application messages
  26. - Performs full power-off unattended shutdowns
  27. - Extends the power-saving and shutdown features of Windows
  28. - Configurable to detect active applications and processes and ignore shutdown requests

  37. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  39. - Windows NT v4.0 (server or workstation), 95, 98, 2000, or later
  40. - 5 MB free disk space

  42. INSTALLATION
  43.  
  44. Close the AutoShutdown application if it is running, and shut down the service on NT/2000.
  45. Run SETUP.EXE and follow the instructions for installation.

  50. Close the AutoShutdown application if it is running, and shut down the service on NT/2000.
  51. Run SETUP.EXE and follow the instructions for installation.  It is best to install updated
  52. versions into the same folder as previous versions.  (Typically C:\Program Files\AutoShutdown)

  56. To Run:
  57.  
  58. Click on the tray icon for AutoShutdown to configure the program.
  59. AutoShutdown can shut down your system after a period of inactivity
  60. (no mouse or keyboard input detected) or at a specific time each
  61. day of the week.

  63. NOTE: You need to have a PC with auto-power shutdown ability
  64. to avoid seeing the "You may shutdown your system..." message
  65. in Windows.
